Monrobe Monday – OOTD – KK Kimono | Being Maddie & Charlie's Mom

One of the hottest trends (in my opinion) is kimono’s and trust me when I say I have been buying them like crazy (every colour, every print…) my husband even said to me “Don’t you think you have enough kimono’s?” NO!! Never! They are HOT! Worn over a pair of jeans, with a maxi skirt or even over a dress… they can be dressed up or down… I am in love!!

I picked up this Kathrin Kidger kimono last weekend and wore this look to the finale filming of X-Factor SA in Durban. What I loved about this kimono – other than the fact that it was monochrome (which I adore) it has an element of ‘unusualness’ in the fact that the back has netting/lace.

The awesome thing about this beautiful printed kimomo it is beautiful enough and I literally pulled out a very plain black maxi dress which I bought at Mr Price over a year ago, which I haven’t worn in ages and added a white belt from Edgars to put around my waist to complement the white on the print and of course pulled out my Blossom Handmade earrings to again echo the white.

I adore this look and will most definitely be repeating a few elements from this look soon!
