Monrobe Loves – Statement Nails!

My favourite part of the month… going to get a new set of beautiful nails. I must admit after having the same colour on your fingers and toes for a month is awesome, because the OPI Gel colour is that amazing – it literally lasts one month without chips or peeling! But it is exciting choosing a new colour and design…

I always love walking into Perfect 10 Nail & Body Studio Ballito. Not only do you know you are about to have some much needed ‘me time’ and the fact that you are about to be pampered but the fact that the staff are always so warm and friendly. The moment you open the door, beautiful background music soothes your soul, a beautiful smile, Beth greets you – no matter if she is doing another clients nails or if she is busy behind the counter, she always makes sure she greets you with a massive smile! (And she has amazing stories to tell about her time working aboard cruise ships!)

This time I started with my facial which I will be doing a separate post on next week so keep an eye out. But once I walked out the treatment room Lydia, the gorgeous therapist that always does my nails was ready to glam my toes and fingers up. First was the soak off of the previous set which was super quick since Lydia is really good at multi tasking! While my fingers were soaking off my toes were being done!

Since I went with a lighter pastel colour last month I decided I wanted something dark as I find a darker colour goes better with most clothing so I chose a navy blue and asked Lydia to do some ‘art’ on my ring finger to give it a glam look! I saw a pic on their Facebook page, where they are always uploading fabulous nail art and colour inspiration (visit their Facebook page here) and she was game!

I think it takes inspiration from the craze that is chevron at the moment but I adore it! Lydia used  Gel Colour by OPI’s Roadhouse Blue on four fingers and then the Unfrost my Heart (silver) and a coat of In True Stefani Fashion which is the glitter effect on the silver nail and she freehand painted (with her amazing ability to so carefully without an ounce of the shakes painted on the little white chevron triangles in Alpine Snow.

What I love most about this OPI Gel product is that it is so quick – it is literally a base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat and placing your hand in the UV light for just 45 seconds in between each coat – it is a true product that understand a woman who doesn’t have time to sit and get her nails done but still wants to look FAB! Plus chatting to the therapists is super fun too – you learn so much about them. Lydia is doing driving lessons at the moment to try get her drivers so wish her luck 🙂

Thank you to Perfect 10 Ballito for once again a divine Sunday afternoon well spent! I truly adore how I can get glam nails in just under an hour and a half and get much needed educational facial under just one roof while still being in a shopping centre where my MINI can get washed and ready and waiting for me clean in the undercover parking. I have never experienced this kind of pamper, convenience and love and passion from the therapists who love what they do and never stop smiling!

Perfect 10 Nail & Body Studio Ballito comes highly recommended!
