Monrobe OOTD – All Black | Being Maddie & Charlie's Mom

See as though I received awesome feedback from my last ‘double denim‘ look from Friday’s OOTD post, I decided to do an all black look.

What I love most about being a Durban girl is how cool Winter is. tights with a jacket is warm enough and look FAB! I picked up this very loose fitting black top at MRP a few weeks back. I even bought it in a size smaller than I usually buy and it was still really over-sized. I find these loose fitting/over sized tops are amazing but can make you look 10 times bigger. I am a strong believer in defining your shape in any look in plus size fashion. Be it a high waisted skirt, a dress or an oversized top – you HAVE to have a defined waist line between your breasts and your tummy. The biggest fashion no-no is a high waisted skirt that sits right under your boobs! It is totally unflattering and showing your shape is a must in plus size fashion. Simply by adding a belt around my waist in this look I have created shape rather than a ‘boxy’ look. Long enough to be a ‘dress’ paired with a pair of leggings and ankle boots – smartened up with a leather jacket 🙂
