Monrobe Maternity OOTD – Printed Kaftan | Being Maddie & Charlie's Mom

I love a kaftan – not only is this an awesome plus size piece of clothing -it is perfect in terms of comfort and fit. I have found tights with a loose fitting dress or oversized top is so comfy to wear over my growing bump and these absolutely beautiful printed kaftans from MRP are high on my list for HOT maternity wear options this Summer.

I think dressing up while pregnant is a mission on its own never mind in this Durban heat so comfort is key!

The only problem with this cut of kaftan is it tends to be boxy on a larger figure and I think defining your curves and shape is key with a loose fitting dress or top so by adding a belt to this look I am able to show where my hips are and essentuate my baby bump! These plain coloured belts are so handy to have! A must for all wardrobes!

Fit aside – this print and colour is amazing! Aqua is a hot colour for Summer and allows for a gorgeous pair of earrings – I wouldn’t pair this neckline with a necklace because the print is so loud itself and you wouldn’t want something competing with it.

I paired this look off with a gorgeous pair of earrings from Lauren Ginn Accessories which I picked up over Christmas – the blue crystals complement this dress so well!

I am also obsessed with my latest mani! The girls at Sorbet Gateway are so amazing! I literally go there with these crazy ideas and colour combinations every two or so weeks when I redo my mani and they execute my requests so well. With Google, Pinterest and Instagram – there is a never ending source of nail inspiration and by just finding a picture of what you are looking for – they are able to recreate it without batting an eyelid! This particular blue on my fingernails is called ‘Mali Blow Me Away’ by Gelish and I have loved having this colour on my fingers! It goes so well with every outfit I have put together and it is such a striking colour! I would recommend it to anyone who likes a darker colour on their fingers. Also how cool are the leopard print decals on my fingers and toes? I am loving it at the moment!
