Monrobe Mommy Must Have – Mama Drops

You know you’re a breast feeding mom when… you decide what to wear on how easily accessible your breasts will be!

I think all breastfeeding and pumping mamas can totally agree! As an exclusively breastfeeding mom to my four month old daughter, I have find myself living in strap tank tops since her birth with tshirts over a pair of gym pants… I really miss dressing up and looking fab… until I came across Mamadrops!

Breastfeeding mamas you are going to jump for joy when you get your hands on Mamadrops garments because they are tailor made for breastfeeding and pumping mamas! Think stylish, understated clothes that are not only affordable but super practical for nursing! And the best part… no one would even guess you’re nursingwear!

I ordered two of their garments from their Autumn/Winter 2016 collection; their basic feeding t-shirt in grey (also available in black and milo) as well as they their wrap front dress in black (also available in grey and cobalt blue).

Having taken these stylish numbers out for a test drive, I found that unlike most nursing tops on the market, which are usually tank tops, Mamadrops garments are perfect for colder weather with long sleeves. The garments are plain and simple allowing the stylish, fashion conscious mom to dress them up with a chunky necklace or printed kimono and even dressed down with a pair of jeans.

I have found that people tend to recommend that you buy button up shirts for breastfeeding but lets be honest. It is such a mission to keep buttoning up and down down whenever you need to feed and often you only have one hand to get those boobs out! The gorgeous wrap front dress has a single press stud allowing for easy assess when its feeding time. The average newborn feeds every two to three hours (lets not get started about those cluster feeding nights) so your breasts need to be easily accessible at all times!

No more exposing your tummy and back when lifting your shirt from the bottom to get your boobs out, the basic feeding takes care of warmth and modesty with a build it flat over the breasts.

Yay for plus size moms, Mamadrops cater for the larger mom as well with their sizes going up to a XXL (size 46-48) and the fits are great!

I haven’t come across nursing wear of this quality, look and feel let alone at these prices (ranging from R150 – R225 per garment). Best part of these comfy nursing garments – they can be worn after my nursing journey ends! A definite investment buy for any nursing mom!
