Insta Mama Meet at The Chocolate Garden

Wow! Just wow! When Teri (of Choose a Row) and I started the Insta Mama Meet just under a year ago, we had no idea how successful the movement would be.

Our vision was to create a friendly environment where moms who chat and interact with one another on a weekly and even sometimes on a daily basis on social media could personally meet in real life and have their kids play together while the mamas network.

I don’t know about you but a lot of my friends don’t even know what Instagram is and it is as if I have a whole different life on Instagram that they don’t know about. I personally share a lot different content on my Instagram than I do on my personal Facebook account. Content that would resinate with the Instamom so I for one LOVE the fact that the Insta Mama Meet has allowed me, as one of the co-founders to meet and engage with fellow Insta moms who ‘speak my language’ and ‘get me’.

Our third instalment of the Insta Mama Meet took place at the incredible The Chocolate Garden which is situated at De Charmoy Estate just 15 minutes inland from Gateway. With the awesome new hotspot having just opened their doors on Tuesday last week, we were able to bring in a whole bunch (over 40 to be exact) into The Chocolate Garden on their first Sunday open!

Trust me when I say it is going to be one popular attraction for moms and dads to bring their kids. An awesome play area kitted with a bright and beautitful jungle gym, a wendy house with a sensory board, kids table and chairs with colouring books and crayons, swings and a sandpit plus there are animals! A huge hit with Maddie and every other kid there! From massive tortoises to ducks and guinea pigs.

The entire time we were at The Chocolate Garden I never once worried about Maddie! She LOVED the time there, so much so that she cried when we left and came home dirty!

We stayed for lunch after the Insta Meet and my husband had the fried chicken wings – OH MY WORD! He literally said we need to come back this coming weekend so we can try more of their menu! Nice, getting the dad’s here with good food Chocolate Garden! I had a chicken caesar salad which was heavenly and Maddie had macaroni balls – such a clever idea! The kids menu is great and the menu is super affordable!

To those moms, dads and their kids who came out to support our Insta Mama Meet, I throughly enjoyed meeting you and your family and Maddie has new friends now. I love that this platform has allowed me and my husband to meet new people and make new friends who we actually bump into often now that we have met!

Teri and I are in the process of planning our next Insta Mama Meet and would love to hear venue suggestions and ideas!
