Valentine’s with PrintWild

I don’t know about you but I find Valentine’s Day a particularly hard one to buy for Brett. I always want to try and surprise him with something special, thoughtful and unique and of late (well since becoming a mom) I find time runs away from me and I am disappointed with the silly mug and pair of socks I bought him that I know will land up in the SPCA donation pile in a couple of months.

I love putting together thoughtful gifts that have meaning to them but they take time and time is a luxury I don’t have as a mom.

When Ballito based, family-run business PrintWild contacted me to collaborate on sharing a product of my choice from their website, my creative juices and love of photography got my mind racing. A couple of special gift ideas I could give Brett for Valentine’s Day came to mind that… A. wouldn’t take a lot of time (because PrintWild would be doing most of the work) and B. It won’t cost an arm and a leg.

A stand out product on the PrintWild website was their AMAZING unique timber photo boxes for storing photo prints. I absolutely loved the idea of creating Brett a personalised photo box with 14 prints of a couple of our favourite moments or 14 reasons I love him… something to that ring.

It literally took me 10 minutes to place the order on the PrintWild website, from selecting the photo box and custom photographic acrylic lid to choosing the photos to fill the box with. It gave me the choice to select photos from my computer or Facebook – how convenient! The photo box prints can be ordered at the same time as your photo box, or ordered separately as your memories unfold. Each photo box holds approximately 50 prints. So while I chose to include 14 of my favourite moments with Brett I can always add to the box as these moments collect.

Once I placed my order I received a series of emails notifying my of the progress of my order from the files being downloaded to the prints being printed to the manufacture being complete and lastly the shipping. I was absolutely blown away when my photo box and prints were delivered to my door via a courier service in under a week (wowzers!)

The box is too beautiful for words! I don’t know why but I was expecting it to be a lot smaller than it is (maybe it was the price) but when I unwrapped it and realised it was just short of an A4 page I was super impressed! The digital prints came out stunning (A5 in size) and fit perfectly inside the photo box.

To add an (even more) personal touch to the box – which in itself is super special enough, I decided to print out a little note to attach to each photo explaining why I loved each moment with Brett. Here you can get creative and pull out your coloured paper, pens, ribbons and all sorts of crafty things! There is so much you can do to add to this special gift.

I cannot wait to give it to Brett and also to one day give to Maddie to keep as a reminder of her parents love story! SO incredibly special and such an inexpensive gift this Valentine’s Day!

One of the best things about PrintWild is that one of the owners is a photographer and personally over looks each and every one of the prints, checking the quality before and after printing. Although they are based in Ballito PrintWild deliver nationwide and their easy-to-use website http://www.printwild.co.za allows you to upload your images straight from your PC or mobile and place your order. Could it get any easier?
