One of our favourite pass times as a couple has always been board or card games. Pre-parenthood we regularly hosted a couples game night at our house and every family holiday has involved a couple of rounds of our favourite games!
Now that we are parents, Brett and I enjoy games we can play together and are always on the look out for two person games to add to our impressive game collection to play over a glass of wine on a weekend. It’s always a laugh when we play, we enjoy the competitiveness and quality time spent together.

We were recently introduced to Mattel Games’ brand new sequencing card game, Skip-Bo and we’ve really been enjoying our hand at this game! If you enjoy a good game of UNO, chances are you’ll really enjoy Skip-Bo. It’s the ultimate sequencing card game from the makers of UNO where you need to use skill and strategy to create stacks of sequentially numbered, ascending cards (2,3,4…) until they have no more cards left to play.

Once everyone is dealt their own personal stockpile of cards from the 162 card deck, play begins by drawing from a central pile and building up to four “build” piles. The Skip-Bo “wild” cards break up static situations and may be played as any number and can help you beat your opponents! The first player to deplete all of his or her Skip-Bo stockpile cards is the winner!

The game is suitable for kids seven and older and can be played by two to six players with over 20 minutes of fun!

Skip-Bo Retails for between R115 to R130 odd depending on where you purchase it. You will find the game on Takealot.com, ToysRUs and other leading toy shops.
