Tommee Tippee Quick Cook

We’ve officially started solids and my mommy heart cannot believe that my baby is already six months old! Our weaning journey with Charlotte has began and thanks to our friends at Tommee Tippee we have been equipped with some of the best baby weaning products available on the market!

There is so much more available on the market than there was when Maddie was a baby and we are absolutely loving that we get to try all the incredibly innovated products on the market to make our lives a little easier.

Tommee Tippee‘s Quick Cook baby food maker is one of these products! I remember feeling like I was slaving over the stove preparing meals for Maddie when she was a baby. I used to spend an entire Sunday afternoon preparing a mixture of pureed fruit and veg for her to eat that week and well, as most weaning experiences go… a lot of it went to waste as she didn’t like a particular batch and I put too much in the freezer.

Now that I am a mom to two and have a more demanding job and have to balance mom, work and wife life – finding time to prepare freshly made pureed meals for Charlotte seemed daunting! That was until the Tommee Tippee Quick Cook arrived!

This nifty appliance has turned me onto a chef for our baby, allowing me to steam and blend home-made baby food in minutes with less stress and less mess, all the while ‘doing life’ – finishing off work, in an online meeting, colouring in with Maddie or preparing dinner for the rest of the family. Charlie’s dinner is the least of my worries!

Suitable for fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, it’s quick and easy to throw all my ingredients into be steam in steamer basket, blended in the jug, or combined both for a range of textures from smooth purees to chunky meals – essentially great for all stages of weaning.

The food maker features a built in automatic timer to set steam and blend times and it’s smart memory function remembers your last programme, to make batch cooking easier. It is so quick and easy to use that I can (with great ease) make fresh meals for Charlie every day all the while preserving nutrients and flavours of the food as steaming is a natural process that preserves vitamins, nutrients and flavours.

My favourite part about the machine is that it steams and blends at the touch of a button within 15 minutes so you can press start with whole food in the jug and come back 15 minutes later to ready to serve pureed baby food.

The jug has a 200g max capacity so you can make more than enough in a batch and freeze the rest in Tommee Tippee‘s Pop Up Freezer Pots or you can make a small batch at a time.

I highly recommend this appliance to any mom who is embarking on their weaning journey – I see myself using this food maker for a very long time and love that it is so easy and safe to use and easy to clean too! I also love that it is suitable for all stages of weaning from first tastes to larger meals and will grow with Maddie. Heck, I might even use it for preparing our veggies cause they are so yummy!

The Tommee Tippee Quick Cook retails for around R2499, 99 and is available at Baby City.
